Quest Link makes continuous connecting/disconnecting noise With Quest 3 On v66 PTC

Hi, so quest link isnt working since i updated to v66 ptc. And i cant go back to v65, i turned off the ptc and factory reset multiple times but no. Its just stuck on v66. When i connect my link cable to my PC it sometimes doesnt connect, and when it does, it just rapidly connects and disconnects with windows plug in-out sound. But it doesnt stop charging. I tried it with multiple cables and PCs, none of them worked. And i dont think there is something wrong with my Quest 3 because im taking good care of it and and im not using it often. Idk what to do, i need some help.

I just bought a new Quest 3, it's updated to v66 and I have the same problem when trying to connect to the pc. And also do the same disconnecting non-stop with an external battery that I have. So the problem is from the Quest 3 and not the pc.

I borrowed my friend's Quest 3 for he has refused to update it so far and he has FW v63 installed. But the result was the same: pc disconnection. And it was worse. While I could use my headset with v66 for almost one hour it disconnected after 6-10 minutes everytime.  So this occurrence seems to be indipendent on the FW installed on the hmd. Maybe the pc app... I don't know. Now I've ordered a new link cable to test the cable. But I really don't think it would be the culprit.

With that being said, have you ever been able to use the Quest 3 while connected to your PC, without it disconnecting? Do you receive any error message when the Quest 3 device disconnects from your PC? Have you attempted to connect to your PC by via Air Link on the Quest 3 device?

I did not connect with Air Link because my computer don't have bluetooth, but I do connect with my phone and cast to it. But I tried a third usb cable, and I got the disconnecting a few times (less that 10) and then, it stays connected. I do work in technical support I honestly, I find it weird. Some people saying that it was working fine before v66 and now, it's not working.

But for my part, always been on v66 and a third cable did the trick. weird.

I just tried the battery with the third cable, and then with the second cable and no disconnecting.

So here is the tests so far:

-first cable = pc & battery disconnect every seconds

-second cable = pc disconnect & battery ok

-third cable = pc & battery ok

So my guest is (I never programmed a usb port tho) the cable needs to be of really good quality otherwise the connection is not stable. Probably that the v66 changed the data transfert and now its too high? just suggesting...
