Quest Not Pairing

Our oculus quest will not pair with the meta app on my account. I attempted to pair it on another account but it was already linked with our quest 2 and would not allow pairing of multiple devices. I followed all of the troubleshooting steps with no success. The headset connects via bluetooth to the phone, but says there is no wifi connection when I enter the pairing code (wifi works fine).  

Another family account was paired to the headset before. But facebook locked it, which locked the meta account, which locked up the headset as well. There has been no response or opportunity to acquire assistance to sort out the issue. I'm concerned that the account lock will keep the headset locked up as well despite the factory reset.

We understand how frustrating it is when your headset doesn't properly pair to your mobile app. Not to worry, we've helped many people through this issue before, and we will do everything we can to get you back to enjoying VR! Just to confirm what steps you've already taken: 

 

  • Have you tried to reboot the headset?
  • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Meta app?
  • Can you try logging out of the Meta app and logging back in?

 

If none of the options worked, performing a factory reset will remove any existing account information from the headset, allowing you to pair the device with a new account. You can perform a factory reset through the headset or through the mobile app, we would recommend trying both if you haven't already. Please refer to the article here for instructions on each option. 

 

If you are continuing to experience this issue after trying this, then please shoot us a PM so we can dive into this deeper with you. I have performed all recommended steps with no success. Including: uinstalling/reinstalling the meta app, logging out/logging in, attempting on different device, factory resetting the VR headset, rebooting the headset, diagnosing connections (no issues). The headset simply does not pair.

I have same problem, now headset is just making white noise sound.  

is it a faulty unit

I havs tried everything suggested by all eho have replied. I even tried the make s developer account trick to no avail. It looks like the headset bluetooth is not turning on. 3 different computers, 2 phones and one tablet and nothing even sees the headset. Before the factory reset, the headset worked. After the reset, nothing. You people know it is something on your side stopping headset bluetooth from working, why can you not gix this. I like many have spent wat to many hours going in circles trying to fix this. WHAT DO WE DO TO GET BLUETOOTH WORKING AGAIN!!!!
