Quest Pro Controllers Grab is buggy

BozCanSuckMyNipples

I bought Quest Pro controllers to play Echo VR with my Quest 2. Tracking is better, but there's this really annoying issue where quite often when I go to grab things it will instead slap (slap happens when you lightly tap). So it's registering a tap instead of a grab. Are there any work arounds for this issue?

They screwed up right at another crucial moment, just now.

I've heard from other people the same happens, so I don't know if its hardware or software.

I'm just gonna hold out and hope the issue goes away in the future with software improvements or I wear the button out and maybe that will help.

We totally understand your sentiment with your controllers not working. We want to do everything we can to get this situation fixed for you. As we stated before, the best thing we can suggest for you to do is to create a ticket on our support website. There you'll be able to talk to one of our amazing agents who will be able to look into more options for you.

We also like to offer some troubleshooting steps that could resolve the issue.

Please try to restart your controllers with these steps.

  1. Hold down on your right controller, or on the left controller
  2. Once you see the LED change and/or feel haptic feedback, it means your controller has restarted. You can now let go of the button and try pairing again.

We hope those steps do the trick to get your tracking back in order. If doesn't please create a ticket on our support website, to receive further assistance in this matter.

I have the quest pro and this is happening to me right now all of a sudden with both controllers. It's very annoying in Lone Echo, but it's happening as well in games I play all the time like Underdogs (this didn't happen a week ago and it affects how you move in the game ruining the whole experience). Any solutions?

Hello there,

Could you please Unpair and pair your controllers again?

  1. Open the Meta Horizon mobile app
  2. Tap the Headset icon in the upper left of the home screen
  3. Tap Controllers
  4. Tap Left or Right to choose which hand you would like to unpair.
  5. Tap Unpair Controller.

Repeat the process again to be able to pair.

Alternatively, you can enter pairing mode on each controller by pressing and holding the Oculus+B (right) or Menu+Y buttons (left) for 3 seconds.

You will feel a light vibration from the front trigger when the controller transitions into pairing mode. After they are paired once, the controllers will automatically connect to the headset each time it is turned on and nearby.

We hope this helps. If you are still having problems, please contact us by PM. Please select our name to get to our profile page, or click here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us!
