I've seen a lot of post and solutions to get past pairing issues... but I can't seem to make any of them work.
I have a Quest Pro that is less than a month out of warranty and after emailing back and forth with support they said If I've exhausted all their suggested solutions that they unfortunately are unable to assist me due to the warranty lapse. So I'm hoping someone in this forum can help. Seems a shame to turn this device into a brick.
I was preparing a movementSDK demo that requires face tracking so I fired up my Quest Pro and noticed it hadn't been getting updates for quite some time so I did a factory reset to see if I could restore the updating process. After reset and going through set-up process I can get it in on wifi and it does an update and then throws the pairing screen with code. When I go to the app, it finds the Quest Pro and asks for the code. When I enter it, it cycles for a few seconds and then asks for the code again... this repeats in an infinite loop. I've tried at least a dozen times to reset and pair and each time I get stuck in this loop.
I've tried connecting using MQDH, it also connects to devices and tries to connect to my account... but it stays in this mode forever (I've let it run like this for an hour thinking it might be actually doing something) but nothing happens.
It feels like a problem with the app and not the headset. Bluetooth and wifi seem to be working on the headset and allowing the IOS app and MQDH to find and talk to the device. I've tried all the obvious IOS related stuff (deleted and reinstalling app, removing Bluetooth entries, restarting device, trying to connect with and iPad and with other iPhone) and none of it works.
I'm pretty good at troubleshooting some pretty complex things... but this one (as simple as it should be) has got me completely perplexed.
Anyone else have a similar issue or a fix they could suggest?
Thanks!
