Quest Pro audio hum

I've developed an audio hum after not using my quest for a month or two.  The speakers on the Quest pro work fine, however after a few seconds in the Meta Home screen, there will be a audio hum, like if you held a microphone near a speaker.  The sound will persist even with muting the speakers.  The sound gradually gets louder.   The sound will stop (and slowly restart) if you click "Facial tracking" on or off, and "Eye tracking" on or off.  Still comes back tho.  Doesn't seem to occur when you're in an app.   Muting the speakers doesn't have an effect.

 

So, Hum seems independent of the speaker volume, or microphone.  It can get VERY loud if given enough time to build, but will "Reset to zero" with certain interactions in the menus.   Volume control has no effect.

I'm not even sure how to search this as i've not seen this problem before...

Exact same issue. To a tee. I haven’t used the device for a bit of time and now this. 

Any solutions  to this? Device is pretty unusable in this state.

Strangely it got better after a few days.  But can't figure out what fixed it.
