I am having screen tearing after a few minutes of the quest pro being on. It’s on the latest software too.

The unit has a hardware fault.
edit: nope not a faulty unit. Just faulty software. Also now quest 3 won’t connect to pc unless I turn off airlink and repair it. Once it gets fixed I will be turning auto update on that too since we can’t roll back the os on it.

the latest update v67 has mostly fixed the glitching in the quest pro. Well I think it maybe completely gone.

Hey @RockG.o.d! We understand how important it is to have a functional headset. Rest assured we will take a look into that for you. How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting steps have you already attempted? Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi there. Turned it on yesterday and it started after about a few minutes of headset being turned on. It was on v64, noticed it then, then updated to latest, noticed it, then reset device, and it still does it. I have had this device for a few days. It doesn’t do this on my quest 3 only on the pro. Is there a hardware diagnostic mode just to make sure it’s not the hardware?

Thanks for providing that information. When you say that you reset your device, do you mean that you turned it off and back on, did a hard reset, or performed a factory reset?
There isn't a diagnostic mode that we can use, but we can use troubleshooting to narrow down the cause. We have some additional questions for you.
We look forward to hearing back from you!

I did a factory reset of the device.
the glitchiness is like screen tearing in games when you don’t have vsync enabled, but they are like square blocks which affect both panels in each eye.
further today I tried it, and there were a lot less glitching in the Home Screen. There is still micro stutter on pcvr which I don’t get in quest 3 or had in previous quest 2
the headset has never been dropped by me. Cant say if carrier or anyone previously handling it had dropped it, anyway. I play racing games mostly and the microstutter was very evident in it today. I will try it again tomorrow.
the microstutter happens with pcvr and third party games from oculus store, the main graphical glitches on the menu is very noticeable in the home screen.
yesterday when I tried it, I loaded up creepy cabin and there were lines of white dots in areas, can’t remember exactly but I think they were positioned in virtual space.
these issues are happening in all games on the device, though mainly noticeable on the meta Home Screen within the menu I think it’s the same issue, only the menu is closer and faster moving so more noticeable .
today when the issues happened a lot less, I moved to a dimmed room and though things didn’t get worse, things also didn’t get better. I was trying to rule out tracking issues. The headset is also clean of fingerprints around the front and sides where the cameras are.
yesterday the controllers started floating in a hour of play. I took that to being in the darker room so turned brightness up and that didn’t help.
I live in a tower block and interference is less on a night than in the day so with it working better in the day, I’m kind of ruling out interference, I just don’t know why it worked more or less okay today from taking it off the charge dock and not yesterday doing the same thing. So at this point I don’t know if it’s a software bug or hardware, because I can’t find anyone else who has the same problem. Have seen people with micro stutter.
it is warmer today, but last night I had air con on in the room I was in,

I got another one and updated it to the new firmware and that does it too. It’s not a faulty quest pro. Just crap software which meta haven’t fixed for a £1000/$1000 headset. Would like to know if anyone else is having any glitchy visuals in the Home Screen on the menus. Pcvr seems to be okay.
