Quest Pro struggling with wireless VR over same network as Quest 2

I've been using my Quest 2 for the last two years on Wireless PCVR with no issues whatsoever via Virtual Desktop. My router is connected to the headset, my PC and nothing else; it offers a 5ghz connection and the image is always very clear and responsive. I just bought a Quest Pro for the better controllers and FOV and got Virtual Desktop running on there too.

Despite connecting to the same network and operating under the same conditions, the signal strength and experience is significantly worse than it was on the Quest 2. Virtual Desktop caps the bitrate around 20mbps which makes the stream very blocky and unpleasant. Attempting to override the cap and set it higher introduces insane stuttering, lag and artifacting. I have also tested this on Air Link, which the Q2 also handled no problem, with the same results.

I previously was troubleshooting with members of the Virtual Desktop discord server, where it was suggested I opt in to the PTC to resolve networking issues in previous firmware, along with more rudimentary things like restarting my computer and router. The issue has not at all improved.

If anyone reading has more ideas on what might be up, please don't hesitate to share. I'm starting to think the issue lies with the hardware itself and might end up sending it back, as I use my Quest devices exclusively for wireless PCVR, and if it's a bad experience I have no use for the hardware at all.

Meta does not care about Quest pro users they see us as suckers who were willing to pay so much for a half baked ""pro""" headset
