Quest Recording not Capturing Audio

I'm currently facing an issue with recording sound while using the Media Player in UE4 on the Oculus Quest. I have a project where I'm playing an MP3 file, but when I try to record the screen on the Quest device, the sound doesn't get captured.

 

If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has any suggestions to help resolve this problem, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please let me know if there are any additional details or troubleshooting steps I can provide.

Hi 

I just purchased the Meta Quest 3 a few days ago. When I try to screen record the audio is not recorded. I can hear the sound effects from the icons but I don't hear any audio when recording games previews. It worked when I first setup the Quest 3 but now it only records the video with not sound.  I don't see a resolution. Can someone direct me to a remedy?  Thanks

Knock, knock, @lawfour! We're just checking in with you regarding your headset not picking up audio when using the screen record feature. Hi No it did not work. I reset and it rebooted and it still did not work. I was using the 128gb quest 3 and it worked until It updated. I also I purchased 512gb but when I set it up and did the updates it also did not record any sound from the headset. I can only hear the sound from the icons. No sound from gameplay or from browser.  When I turn on mic I can hear myself but nothing else except when I hover over the icons in the headset.  Thanks

Hey @lawfour! I know it's been some time but I wanted to jump in and hopefully point you to the right place. It seems like you've already dome some troubleshooting so the next best thing I can really recommend would be to hit up @MetaQuestSupport through Private Messages. They'll be able to check out some other things and potentially even replace the headset for you.
