Quest Remote Desktop on a Surface Pro 11

Hello!

I have been trying to install Meta Quest Remote Desktop on my Surface Pro 11 and the installer starts and then just backs out and never finishes.

  • I have removed the Unknown display adapter that gets installed when the installer fails.
  • Ran as an admin (even from command line).
  • I did try to install Oculus Link but the behavior seems to be the same the installer starts to run then just fails and I end up with an Unknown display adapter.
  • Disabled Defender and the Firewall.
  • Even went as far as a full bare metal recovery of the device.

Each attempt has been the same the installer starts and then just reverts back with the only thing on the device being an Unknown Display Adapter in device manager.

I am suspecting the issue is Windows on ARM (its a Copilot+ PC). Has anyone been able to get the Meta Remote Desktop app to install on a Surface Pro 11 or any other Windows on ARM device? The goal here is just the remote desktop.

Hej TrueGr

ouch1988,

I got the same Problem with Meta Quest Link. My Goal is to Cast the Screen to my Surface 11.

Have you found a way to Fix it?

I have the same problem. It is probably because Surface 11 has an ARM-based CPU architecture.

Same issue. Using Surface pro 9 (ARM-based), and nothing I've tried so far has resolved the problem. Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated!

Yes, I'm having the exact same problem/issue. Especially frustrating in that V72 released and cannot access this feature that was the reason for me buying the devices.

I could not get Horizon installed, but Microsoft Mixed Reality Link worked well.
