Recently within the past 2-3 months, connecting to my computer through Oculus Link felt impossible. When I tried to use a high quality USB-C cable to enter Link, it would attempt to load Oculus Link, but fail whilst trying.
While going through the Link app's files, trying to find logs, I stumbled upon a huge group of text files all named "OculusClientError-(insert string of numbers)". Each would say either "Server closed connection", "Renderer process crashed, shutting down", or "Skyline is already running", without any context or additional information. This was found in C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Oculus.
I also was able to find more error logs in C:\Users\(username)\AppData\LocalLow\Oculus\Dash\log, most of which consisted of the software not being able to find textures, resources and assets, which ended in it requesting for the connection to close and it "Flushing render device". There was also a text file named "AppErrorLog (insert string of numbers)" that simply read:
"API 0.64.49.36 DRV 0.128.1.61 VEN 0x1002 DEV 0x73ff 'AMD Radeon RX 6600'"
I wasn't able to find anyone with the same problem as me anywhere on the internet, and guessing that it's likely a GPU/display driver issue.
