As some of you may know, the quest 2 and quest 1 have a very annoying little bug that has been around ever since the quest one released and still exists today. This Is known as the audio sync glitch. It occurs when recording and makes it so the actual game audio is either too early or too lately synced to the game. Currently, there is no way to fix this other than directly getting the sound from the video and syncing it yourself. Meta has acknowledged this issue and still haven’t fixed it so far. It’s something I’m hoping gets fixed soon.
Example: In the ghosts of tabor video I recorded today on my quest, the beginning audio was delayed by .567 seconds, while towards the middle of the video, it was delayed 1.256 seconds. (True)

After reviewing my videos, I did figure out the problem was Ghosts Of Tabor. Im sorry for any trouble this caused due to me not realizing. Thanks again though for helping me solve it. And I really don’t mind having to move audio that much. Thanks for your support!

My question is, when will this be fixed? Soon? Later on? This issue is major for those who record on stand-alone and make content.

Hey there, @Thatgoofyvrguy! We hate to hear that you have been experiencing issues with your audio being delayed when you review your recordings. We know how important it is for users to have their recording running and sounding smooth so they can share their gameplay with others, and we want to be sure that we can assist you as best as we can!
We see that you mentioned Ghosts of Tabor, which is a Steam-based game, as one of the ones that is causing this issue. Games from Steam and other third-party vendors may cause issues while using our headset as they are not fully supported by us as well. If the games that are causing problems are from third parties, we recommend that you reach out to their support team regarding what you are experiencing, as they would have more tools to best assist with those games.
That said, if you are having problems with Quest-based games, we would be more than happy to look into this further so we can see how best to assist you!

I appreciate you guys responding. I do agree that correct audio syncing is very needed. Although, this has also happened in Into The Radius. Ive recorded several times, and most parts had audio that was not synced to the video. I recorded on stand-alone as well. Is there any way to fix this either than resyncing the audio yourself in a video editor?

I experience this issue while I’m viewing it on my phone, and I also experience it when viewing the video through the headset. Unfortunately I cannot provide video since while I do post videos on YouTube, I always resync the audio then deleted the original video. I will try to get you a video of the issue as soon as possible and should be able to get it by today.

Also, I use advanced camera settings and use 1920x1080p (landscape mode) and 36 fps recording. Since I record long gameplay and don’t have the option to sync it to the mobile app, I put it in my google drive using metas built in browser. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but I have also imported content through my pc and the issue still occurred.
