Quest handtracking does not work after locking the device

Wilmaster1

Hi al,

We use the Quest 3s, with the latest version of the OS to develop hand-tracking based apps.

We realized that hand tracking stops working if the device enters sleep mode while inside of our app.

The app is build using Unity (6000.23f1) and focuses on hand tracking as the main input mode. What we found is that opening our app, using it, and then leaving the headset for a little while will lock the headset in due time. When we try to unlock the HMD the hands are no longer being tracked. We can unlock the device with the controllers, and then use hand tracking again.

While its not a major issue, it is annoying. We often take the headsets along, and as we focus on hand tracking we often leave the controllers in the office. This means that we need to force restart the HMD every time it locks itself.

Is there any solution to this? Its quite annoying that the hand tracking is so buggy, as is a core interaction for MR experiences.
