I’m adding this following chat with a meta representative as I think it is important and should be prominently stated on the box. The Quest 3 contains latex in several parts included the lens surround - not the replaceable facial interface, but the rubbery stuff around and between the lenses that can’t be removed.
As the skin on the eyelids is very sensitive, anyone with a latex allergy should be aware of the latex content in the eye box. According to Google search up to 5% of the population have latex allergy and those more regularly exposed to latex are more likely to develop allergy.
I’m unfortunate enough to suffer from latex induced anaphylaxis which is pretty serious. Fortunately I haven’t suffered that badly from the quest three but I have been having issues despite covering the lens surround in tape. However, I have read of others having extreme reactions to quest 3.
It was only today when on a chat with a meta representative who checked with a product technician they finally told me latex is used. I had asked this before but never had confirmation.
So I thought this was worthy of sharing. I’m staggered that the box doesn’t contain an ‘includes latex’ (right up against your face!) warning as this is a very common warning / disclaimer I see used, and is very helpful if you have a severe latex allergy!

Thanks for sharing this, I don't have a latex allergy myself but I do feel it is vital information to share. I hope they see this post and find a solution in future products to avoid this. VR fun should be accessible to as many people as possible so this type of feedback I feel is very valuable.

Dang. I had it on for less than 5 minutes and my cheeks BURN! I immediately said "that has to have latex in it." Glad your post is here as AI told me it doesn't contain latex.

This is really crummy customer service! I bought the Quest VRs for both of my sons, and both of them suffer from a latex allergy. What are my options at this point? The facemask is putting burn marks on their cheeks. Certainly Meta isn’t so ignorant as to not warn their customers about this?

I’m not recommending this, but I got a third party silicone interface and I cut all of the built in rubbery material I could out of the face of the headset around where the lenses are. I then used some kinesiology tape which is a latex free fabric tape with some elasticity to replace it, and also cover any remaining bits of the original rubbery material. And replace the elite battery strap with a third party variant. It seems to do the trick for me but I expect I have destroyed any resale value of my headset.
I do love the quest 3 and really hope meta completely exclude latex from the quest 4. It’s not such a rare allergy and having it strapped to your face and close to eyes, where skin is very sensitive is, I think, is a very bad design choice.
Here’s hoping!
