It detect to "touching" the trigger when my index finger just close to the trigger and not touch it.
When I push the trigger then leave, it don't leave immediately in unless I fully open my hand to keep my index finger really far away from trigger, it makes me hard to switch my gesture from fist/thumb to point/gun.
Is this caused by touch pro's index finger tracking? Can I turn this this feature off?I just want my trigger touch response works like quest2 controller works.

Yes, very much what the person above said, let's not hide in PMs, this needs a GLOBAL fix. it's either software side or every controllers became defective at the same time all of a sudden.

After a long thread of emails back and forth, I got one of Meta's support agents to admit that this is a software issue. I sent them a video illustrating the issue and they replied, "based on the video you sent me, the only other alternative for your issue is to wait for a firmware patch to be rolled out." They also stated in another email that they let their specialist know that I did some testing of my own and proved that the controllers are having issues across different headsets and controllers. Here's a link to the video of me illustrating the issue. https://youtu.be/bvbXTRLUVaI.

Ah, sorry for the late reply, spidercookie. No, I'm using the normal stable release channel. I'm also on a Quest 2. Given how we didn't see any Quest Pro users complain about this issue, I believe it's an issue with the Quest 2's OS, not the controllers or their firmware. But that's just a theory.
By the way, where did you find your controllers' versions?
For me, the distance isn't consistent at all. Sometimes it works almost normally (less than 2mm, but never the desired 0mm), other times it's stuck completely, even if I fully let go of the controllers. On average it seems to be about 0.5-1cm though.

Here's an update to the situation. I got the PTC update to v57 and the controllers have updated to version 1.28.3. The issue doesn't seem to be as present but is still very much there after playing a game for a while. I can now usually get my fingers to snap back if they become stuck by fully pressing in the index trigger once or twice. Please note that this STILL IS NOT RESOLVED and still happens quite frequently. I submitted a but report on the Quest 2's operating system with a link to the video I created and mentioned that I have not been able to test this on a Meta Quest Pro. You can find your controller software version in the Meta Quest mobile app by going to "menu, devices, headset settings, and controllers". You can view the firmware version by clicking on either the left or right controllers.

This should be unmarked as a solution by the way.
Because it isn't.
It's going to confuse both consumers and support team members by leaving it marked as one.

This is driving me crazy, by the time I manage to unstuck one of my hands the second one gets stuck too.
And yeah this is all but solved. What should be my best pair of controllers became my spare pair in case my regular quest 2 controllers need to be sent for repair at this point.

I went and activated an update in the settings, it didn't change my problem much, and now I have alerts about my controllers overheating....? better and better 😕

The only thing I can give you as a suggestion, which isn't a fix, but a temporary solution, is get yourself a can of CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. Spray that in the triggers and joystick and that will TEMPORARILY stop the controllers from sensing you are touching the joystick when you aren't.
I've been using it for a month now, and the controller is fine, and will stop doing that issue, until the controller gets dirty again, and then will start back up.
Not a fix, not a solution, but a temporary band-aid.

Could you keep us updated with how your second replacement goes?
