Quest3: Reset attempt - bricked?

Hey,

I don't know what better way to put my problem (subject o ticket).
I was playing Ragnarok today, I took the headset off for a while to take a drink, after putting it back on I got about the same virtual space as while turning off. Only with that said there was a dialogue about a problem with tracking, I think, the surroundings. Mention of a reset, I think right on the button. Unfortunately, the controls were not visible and the dialogue drifted off at times, as if the headset was floating through space.

Thus, I held down the power button and turned the headset off hard. When I tried to turn it on, it didn't really want to, the left display was off, the right was just backlit. Later, both turned off.
I have not been able to turn the headset on since. I could feel the heat on it, so I let it sit for over an hour and watched the internet. I found a similar situation (only when AirLinking for PCVR), also dead, the power LED lit up after about 1 to 1.5 hours, which hasn't lit up for me till now. After that he was able to at least get to the boot screen with the broken Android and the "No Command" message, I can't even get here.

It's been over 2.5 hours now, when I hold power button + volume down, after 30 sec it just spins the fan and turns off immediately. I've even tried holding it longer, still nothing.
At one point I managed to get the LED to at least turn purple. I don't know exactly what that means, on the internet people mention update/factory reset.

I'm leaving it on the charger, I'll try again tomorrow. But I'll be glad for advice and help. Alternatively, I have no choice but to try to return the headset to Amazon.

I will add information that about an hour before this I got a little glitch image and badly scanned controlelrs, did not help anything other than restarting, but it did not have to be hard and everything was ok again. The day before a similar situation happened with PCVR (SteamLink). Just glitches happen, but now that I see it in retrospect, maybe it's related. Maybe a faulty piece?

Thank you for your response @MetaQuestSupport, in the meantime I have communicated with support directly. I've contacted Amazon to return the headset.

However, to complete and possibly describe my case so that anyone else having a similar situation knows what and how.

You mentioned that the LED is purple; please tell us if the light is flashing or solid.
Yes, I apologize for the inaccuracy. Purple solid light.

Also, please let us know if, once you charge the headset and turn it back on, you still have these challenges.

Headset was on charge overnight, after about 12 hours since the incident I tried factory reset again (power button + volume down). Nothing happened, again just the fan turned on and immediately turned off. I tried even longer than 60 sec, nothing.
I then tried just the power button, nothing changed.

I also tried power button + volume up (in case I got it wrong and pressed the wrong buttons), here again the LED turned on solid purple light.
That's all, nothing more.

If you would like further details that I can provide, please ask, I will be happy to provide as much information as possible so that the bug can be reproduced or corrected.

What a joke -- you try to look like you want to help when nothing further from the truth is present.  Look at the thousands of VR consoles Meta has bricked with its intentional push of its malicious software update.  After Meta forced an update that bricked  thousands of consoles, it claims no responsibility.  If your console won't work now, Meta says tough luck -- how about buying a new console.

Meta needs to be prosecuted for this criminal activity.  Don't ever buy a Meta VR.
