Question about updating apps using Meta Quest for Business

Hello,

I work with UbiSim, we offer a VR app for nursing by the same name via App Lab. A client reached out to me because he manages multiple headsets with Meta Quest for Business, and had a question.

He was able to download the APK file containing our app and push it to all the headsets using Meta Quest for Business. However, he cannot find the 'auto-update' option, as there used to be on Oculus for Business (example below):

Is such an option available somewhere on Meta Quest for Business, or will users need to import the APK file each time we release an update?

Hey there, @Manuel0624. Thanks for bringing this concern to our attention! We would love to help make sure your client is able to adjust their device settings so that they're able to have a smooth experience while learning and enjoying your app.

While further assistance from our business team can be found here! We would like to make sure the following steps are completed when attempting to adjust the app settings:

  1. Go to Meta Admin Center.
  2. Click Devices in the left menu.
  3. Click Apps in the left menu.
  4. Hover over the app you want to update and click [three dots].
  5. Click Update app.
    • You can also select Allow auto-update so that you don’t have to manually update the app.
  6. Fill out the updated information for the app.
  7. Click Confirm to update the app.

Of course, if you still have an issue locating this area within their account, please have your client reach out to our business team here
