Hi, I received a RMA replacement on 12th Jan 2024 this was basically DOA please let me explain:-
In the very short intermittent time that it did work it was a terrible experience! My old headset was perfect just had a bad cable, Due to Meta forcing me to return both Headset & cable in order to receive a new cable my VR experience with this refurbished replacement as I feared was just a recipe for disaster the replacement cable was intermittent so no better than my old one but now worse as it's completely dead 😞
When it did work there was visible dirt or something inside the headset optics as I could see a smudge & very blurry in the left side!
And one small thing in comparison to the above mentioned EPIC fail!
The foam interface is nothing like the original it's thinner, has light bleed and uncomfortable none of these were issues with my original face interface.
So prior to RMA I had a bad intermittent cable, After RMA I have a completely dead cable and a dead headset!
I would like Meta to send me a NEW RMA and this time please supply a working cable & headset that's not full of defects and packs up working with 2 hours of use!

Please provide us with a bit more detail on what you are experiencing with your headset. Is the headset powering on at all?

Hi, Thank you for your response.
The unit worked on & off had intermittent connection issues another bad cable if I held and supported the Y split (Junction box) where the cable splits from one cable off into one usb & one Display port the connection would link up. this sketchy solution only worked for less than 2 hours. 😞
I can confirm it's an issue with this replacement unit And replacement cable as my other Rift S unit works fine, I have also borrowed that other cable from my different Rift S headset which I own and used on this replacement headset & is still completely unresponsive therefore does not turn on.
And replacement cable does not connect with my known working headset so both replacement (Refurbished) cable and headset are at fault.

Is anyone going to bother replying to me? I would like some response as I have a dead unit supplied by Meta for RMA unit when you've had my working unit I have been sent a dead unit! This is unacceptable! So far I've had no help with this.
