RMA for Quest 3 is terrible!

I am absolutely livid with frustration at the absolute disconnect with Meta Support.

For reference, I live in Australia. There is no retailers here who sell Meta/Oculus products. Online is our only option.


I stupidly purchased a day one Quest 3 from Meta.com. It arrived on October 11th (launch was 10th, so that was great. The unit worked for about 8 hours and then bricked itself (stuck on Meta logo).. 

Everything was tried. I even asked for the USB sideload firmware so I could fix it myself. Long story short. I requested a RMA. I work in IT. Troubleshooting android tech is part of my job. EVERYTHING was tried. 

The RMA was created on the 13th. I got the FedEx shipping label on the 16th and posted it straight out. It arrived in the Hong Kong RMA center on the 18th. Signed for. FedEx tracking shows every detail. The link and screenshots.

Today is the 24th. And my RMA status is still "Awaiting Arrival". 

I am f#&king livid. The Meta Chat Support are useless. I show them every proof I have. Links, screenshots, serials, RMA numbers and the best I get is "I can see that your RMA is Awaiting Arrival""....

Yes, I KNOW that, I TOLD YOU THAT! I want to know why it hasn't progressed, and more importantly - PROGRESS IT!

Meta.com Chat have been useless
Facebook Meta support are non existent
Reddit Meta Support are not replying
Twitter Meta Support were marginally helpful
Lets see if the community forums Meta Support can do any better. @MetaQuestSupport 

After reading all the other horror posts here in the forums. I am loosing hope fast.

It seems that all of the support channels have no ability contact with the RMA process. I wish I could call the RMA center and get some action.

All I want is my RMA to progress. I want my $1050AU worth of Quest 3 processed. Send my !@(*#& replacement unit!

I'm in the same boat - any luck?

The RMA process halted and it was "Awaiting Arrival" for two weeks.
I got another ticket created by the Twitter Meta Support for "non movement of RMA" and magically it was "received" the next day and the RMA was finished.

I have my replacement Quest 3.

Learn from my mistake for next time, buy from Amazon.

@lensfort buying from Amazon won't make any difference. I bought a new Rift-S on Amazon a couple of years ago (I also live in Australia) and the headset failed after about 8 months. I RMA'd it back to Hong Kong (you still have to go through Facebook/Meta RMA process) and it took about 1 month to get a replacement. Unfortunately my replacement headset burnt out after about 6 months and I was then out of warranty, so I didn't even bother trying to get another replacement for a discontinued product - I just tossed it in the trash.

Hate the show, but A Current Affair would love this. Might help me get a replacement
