Long story short. Ordered Quest 3s from Meta middle of February. Requested return, return approved and sent in device to a warehouse called Reconext in Texas.
Product received and signed for March 10. A week later I receive a Turtle Beach headset in the mail from Reconext.
Immediately I'm panicking knowing I'm being scammed. The box was the same size as the original box that I sent the quest 3s in but lighter so I knew it wasn't the quest 3s I sent to them.
Reach out to Meta for answers as to why I received something that doesn't belong to me.
Received an email from Meta today in broken English saying that the warehouse states that I sent them a Turtle Beach headset?!
So I'm guessing that my return of a next to new quest 3s was conveniently swiped by a warehouse worker and I'm sol.
I have no headset and no refund. I feel defrauded and scammed. We have had two other headsets since they 2020.
I have reported Reconext to the FTC and have initiated a chargeback with my cc.
You would think that meta would be able to track serial numbers as stolen and trace who took the headset.
I took photos prior to boxing it up for the return. Never again will I purchase a Meta product and will encourage others to do the same.
