RTX 3050 Laptop GPU Support?

Ice350
Honored Guest

Hello everyone,

I have a laptop with a RTX 3050 gpu and the last few months it worked with the Meta Quest Link just fine but a few days ago the meta quest app on my laptop began saying that my gpu istn compatible with the quest link and i cant play pcvr at all anymore. My question is: did Meta make the RTX 3050 Laptop GPU not compatible in the last few days or is there a fix to this?

Ah, I'm guessing you need to connect your laptop to the headset via a cable due to the router distance? Both of these devices will allow you to play PCVR wirelessly, and you'll still be able to connect to the internet with your existing router.  These are less expensive than a laptop with supported GPU.

Ok, I will wait a few days if they fix the issue and if they don’t then I will definitely be buying one of those. Thanks

That's extra steps that introduce more latency and creates lag. I'm having the same issue myself, that I just purchased the laptop for convenience and mobility because who the **bleep** in their right mind would want to lug around a huge ass desk top tower  when you travel alot? Naturally I checked with meta for compatibility beforehand and yes, it was listed on meta's website as compatible, so great, buy it. I get a whole 2 days and now it is no longer compatible. This is the third time that I've seen that they've done this **bleep** of dropping a GPU

@NeroRavencoat19  yes they will introduce some lag, but as previously stated they're a lot cheaper than a new laptop.

If it's any consolation meta probably still haven't put the 4xxx series cards on the compatibility list so they get errors as well.

The fix is to disable your igpu through device manager
