Hello everyone,
I have a laptop with a RTX 3050 gpu and the last few months it worked with the Meta Quest Link just fine but a few days ago the meta quest app on my laptop began saying that my gpu istn compatible with the quest link and i cant play pcvr at all anymore. My question is: did Meta make the RTX 3050 Laptop GPU not compatible in the last few days or is there a fix to this?

We appreciate the follow-up. As listed on the requirement page, the 3050 laptop is not recommended to use with Link, so it is possible that it may not work properly, resulting in the compatibility error. We appreciate your time, and have a great day!

Hi @Ice350 have you tried virtual desktop to connect your PC to the headset?

Ah, I'm guessing you need to connect your laptop to the headset via a cable due to the router distance? Both of these devices will allow you to play PCVR wirelessly, and you'll still be able to connect to the internet with your existing router. These are less expensive than a laptop with supported GPU.

Hi @Ice350 have you tried using Virtual Desktop to stream to the headset instead of airlink?
Virtual Desktop on Meta Quest | Quest VR games | Meta Store
This can get round many issues with airlink.

Hello
i checked the requirements and I saw that the laptop version of the gpu just isn’t recommended and not unsupported.
So I have a probably final question: is my gpu really just not recommended and the error is just a bug or is my gpu truly just not compatible?
Thank you

Thanks for getting back to us! The message you are receiving is an automated message based on the readings of the GPU. Since your GPU is integrated, it may be reading a false positive. If you're able to dismiss the message and play like normal then we would suggest disregarding it.

Hello
The problem is that I can’t get past the “your gpu isn’t compatible” screen. If you have any information on that please let me know.
Thank you

Hi @oculusness
I don’t think it’s gonna be a solution to this issue because my laptop isn’t connected via a Ethernet cable so it is probably gonna lag.
Thank you for your help though
