RTX2070 (HDMI + USB 3.0) vs (USB C adapter)

Hi everyone, FalseRift here, 1st time posting. I recently purchased the RTX 2070 Founders Edition. Would it be better to use the HDMI + USB 3.0 for the headset, or buy and adapter and use the USB C (Virtual Link) slot? Thanks guys!

There are reports that USB-C hubs work, although there is no definitive list out there unfortunately so it's on a trial basis.
Core i7-7700k @ 4.9 Ghz | 32 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance @ 3000Mhz | 2x 1TB Samsung Evo | 2x 4GB WD Black
ASUS MAXIMUS IX HERO | MSI AERO GTX 1080 OC @ 2000Mhz | Corsair Carbide Series 400C White (RGB FTW!)

Be kind to one another 🙂

I'll chime in.  I just picked up the Apple USB-C to Digital AV Multiport Adapter (Amazon has them on sale for $60, so I got Best Buy to price match).  I have a 2080.  I'm currently having a problem with my Rift randomly disconnecting, but when it does work, it works just the same as when I connect it through the regular HDMI and USB ports.

@SHADOWSTRIKE1, Thanks for the info! Currently I'm having trouble with the Audio cutting out after about 15 min. of game play. If it restart it starts again. Still looking for a solution. Maybe its the RTX? Thanks again

The first official USB-C adaptor made for the Rift https://www.accellww.com/products/usb-c_vr_adapter Although it seems to have only one USB3.0 port. It should have a minimum of two and ideally three USB3.0 ports.

i bought that product for this purpose aussie, but the haptic feedback on your controllers stops working if you use it.
