I own a Quest 3 with the rechargeable batteries from the charging dock. I recently got a new Quest 3, after setup and initial updates I switched the rechargeable batteries from my old controllers. Right away I noticed my right controller would lose tracking if I moved it too quick. It would turn back on if I pushed up on the battery pack but would turn off after I gave it a slight bump or moved it too fast. This was all right out of the box after just setting up the system.
I started testing it with my old Quest 3 controller and I didn't run into any problems, even when doing excessive actions. I'm also using the Quest Active Straps. I've inspected the battery pack, the inside of the battery compartment on the controller, made sure my system was up to date, restarted my headset. I've also made sure on both my new and old controllers that the battery packs don't have more wiggle room than the other, and that the cover plates don't wiggle or slide during use. I regularly used my Quest 3 before I got this new one and ran into this problem. Still currently I have no problem using the rechargeable battery pack with the Active Pro Straps on my old Quest 3 controllers. I've also done the paperclip reset technique on the battery pack for about 15 seconds. I don't know if it worked but I attempted it.
I was able to play the new Batman game for about 10 minutes before I bumped my controller on my arm and the right controller disconnected completely. Usually I would be able to push the Meta button to turn on and reconnect the controller but I have to remove the battery plate and push up on the battery for it to reconnect. I still have the limited warranty on this new Quest but I'm wondering if there's anything more I can do, if there's something wrong with this controller, or if the warranty will cover something like this? Both of my old and new controllers can take normal batteries fine, the old ones can take the rechargeable batteries, and only the left new controller has had no problem. I've owned a Q1, Q2, and this is my 2nd Q3 until I've run into a problem like this.

I have the same set up as you. The rechargeable batteries/dock and active straps. I didn't have a problem until I replaced the controllers with new ones because of drift issues. It seems like the newer controllers maybe have more room in the compartment and therefore don't stay connected? Did you get your problem resolved? I contacted support and they want me to return them for new ones. I think the problem is somewhere in the battery compartment and another set would be the same.

@raeven63 have a look at this video as it may be the cause of your problem -
