I upgraded from Quest 1 to Quest 3 today. A friend send me a referral link so that both of us get 30 € for the shop. However it tells me I can not get the referral. We are both from germany and upgraded quite recently.
What seems to be the problem here?
German Message I got:
"Referral konnte nicht angenommen werden
Beim Annehmen des Referrals gibt es ein Problem. Möglicherweise bist du nicht berechtigt, weil das Land oder die Region nicht unterstützt wird. Möglicherweise hast du dich selbst als Referral verwiesen oder du hast das Referral schon angenommen."

We know how important the referral bonuses are, and would love to provide some information about this. Referrals are only valid for new Meta Quest users setting up a new Meta Quest device for the first time. As you have owned a Quest 1 in the past, you are unable to receive a referral as you are not a new Quest user. For more information about the Meta Quest referral program, check out: https://www.meta.com/legal/quest/referral-program
You can still send referrals to your friends, and do not forget about the app referral program for applications you have already purchased to score some free credits, and provide a discount for those apps purchased by your friends!
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, and we would love to answer whatever we can.

Hi, I have sent across a direct message regarding a referral error. I have sent a referral to a friend who has just purchased a new Quest 3, they have created an account but the referral is not working.

@MetaQuestSupport I am also having this issue, I have sent messages and not got a response. This is my first meta account and my cousin invited me with his referral links and neither of us got the credit.

After providing the necessary information, I received a response that merely reiterated the general conditions of the Referral Program. These were details I was already aware of and did not assist me in my specific situation. I had expected that my concern would be individually addressed and that a concrete solution or guidance would be offered.
The response lacked any personalization, making me feel as though my specific needs and questions were ignored. This is particularly disappointing as a customer of Meta products, where I expected a higher standard of support.
Therefore, I kindly request that you re-evaluate my concern and provide a detailed response tailored to my situation. A clear explanation as to why my case does not meet the requirements of the Referral Program or specific steps I should follow would be greatly appreciated.
