Referral credit not received

So my friend sent me a referral link for oculus, I bought the headset via the app link he sent me and I activated my headset when it arrived. I have not received the credit, why so? 

PS: I am mostly sure my friend will receive credit in about 25 days.

We understand that you are having issues claiming your credit through the referral program.

Just so you are aware, the referral program has was only valid till December 31st 2021.

So if you activated your device after this date, you would not be eligible for the referral credit.

However, If you did activate your device using the referral link prior to Dec.31st 2021.
