Both me and my friend (both residents of Canada) did not get credit of referal. it seems so inconvenient and just a scam to attract people to refer. Company is getting benefit from that but we are not.
Hey @rebusine! Getting to enjoy VR with friends is always a plus for me, especially when you're getting some credits for a game or two, so I can definitely understand the frustration with not receiving any referral credits.
When it comes to this, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. You've already confirmed that you're both in Canada so it's great to see you're both in a supported country. This would also have to be with a brand new, never activated before headset (Doesn't need to be purchased from Meta but it does need to be factory sealed.) If you're the person who was referred, you want to make sure you haven't activated a headset previously with your account before.
Along with that, sometimes sending the referral link through text can take you to the app instead of the website and that can also cause some issues with accepting the referral.
All in all, there are some issues that can happen while trying to accept a referral. I'd highly suggest sending a PM over to @MetaQuestSupport so they can double check everything on their end.
