I recently picked up a new Quest 3. I then added a new Meta account to the device so that my daughter could play with it too. App sharing is on at this time. Now I'm wanting to get another Quest 3 just for my daughter but wanted to use the referral program so that both of us will get the store credit. Will she be eligible as she doesn't have her own device yet but does have a Meta account already? By her being added on to my device would that be considered her activating her own device? She would be the admin for the new Quest 3. Will she have to create a new Meta account to get around this if needed?
Thanks,
Hang

Hi @volcalstone 🙂
you don't need a brand new account to be eligible for the referral program.....mine was already 2 years old when I bought a quest back then.
Important is only, that the account has not already a Quest device activated......not now, but also not in the past.
Means, if - for example - already a Quest 2 was activated with the account, the referral won't work.
Also that her account is added on your device should not prevent her from benefiting from the referral program, because… she has not activated the device with your account.
You can talk to @MetaQuestSupport to be absolutely sure that all will working well.

Hi Choleni,
Thanks for your help. I spoke with a Meta help person and they said that my daughter needs to be 18+ for her to get referrals. She is under 18 so what I'm going to do instead is active the new Quest 3 with my wife. She would be the admin and my daughter will be just a user until she is 18. I believe she should be eligible then as well. 😊
Thanks,

That's a good idea👍
Thank you so much for letting me know.......I'll never forget again to mention the age, if someone ask about referrals.😁
I wish your daughter a lot fun with her own Quest 3.
