Having the same problem. accepting in browser I get invalid link and on phone it opens the app and nothing

Any new updates on this, ThyRuinedKing? Or anyone at Meta Support? It's still not working.

I know that it has been at least 4 weeks for me since any referral link worked
It seems like MetaQuestSupport has gone dark on this issue.

I think they're just shadow banning the topic by clumping all the different errors merged into this single thread that clearly has an inconclusive/wrong answer, because they seemingly don't want to investigate it properly and cut and pasting generic Offers Are For Selected People nonsense when it's clearly broken in several places, as it part works for us eg can refer but not buy......so clearly the promo IS valid.......it's one referral scheme and if it wasnt applicable to us then they wouldn't allow just half of it intentionally.
Support do your role please and actually investigate, look up and address the issue directly, it's showing incompetence

At this point, I'm not sure what's happening. If their engineering team really is giving support this response, then they are throwing support under the bus, as the explanation doesn't make any logical sense. It's making support look bad, which in turn, is making Meta as a whole look dysfunctional. I realize at the moment, Meta does seem to have the VR market cornered, so there is not much of an alternative. However, PSVR could change that at some point if it makes an offering that brings down the cost for those of us who don't own a PS5, or if a competitor like Apple brings down the price of the Vision Pro. This experience will definitely keep me on the lookout for other options.

Contacting support doesn't help. They just give following generic response, without clarifying what the "group" is. I can only assume it's "half the world picked at random".
"We are evaluating changes to the App referrals program. As a result, some randomly selected groups of users may periodically not be able to access App referrals. These user groups change frequently, and if an offer is not currently available to you that is available to others, this means that offer is not being given to your group at this time. Please keep an eye out for similar options in your group in the future."

I wonder if they can be sued for false advertising or something - they advertise they have this app referral feature, which clearly is not working for weeks, if at all.
