Been there in circles. Their "higher tech support" will reply with just a different worded message of "promotions are only available for some people...sorry for your disappointment". Which is nonsense and basically them saying they dont really have a clue and cant be bothered to look, like has gone on over and over again on here.
If you opened that example of your last one in a web browser, the header of the browser if the tab is by itself would actually still mention offering you 25% off, just not in the content of the web page

Good evening, unfortunately I can't use the refferal links to take advantage of the 25% discount.
When I click on the link the main page of the quest app opens automatically and nothing appears.
If I do it from the browser, first it opens a page where it asks me to accept a message from the person who sent me the link, then it asks me to log in and then it tells me invalid link

And that is why i am going to start sideloading on games

I have the same problem, i can't accept any 25% app referrals.
Even if the statement that promotions aren't available to everyone is correct, i think Meta is hurting its own reputation with those arbitrary experiments / algorithms on their customers.
Customers will start to ask themselves what did i wrong, why is an algorithm excluding me from promotions, how long will this last?
In the end it will result in frustration about unpredictability and the lack of transparency that impacts the overall motivation of using the platform.
I bought my Quest 3, three weeks ago and so far, i have very mixed feelings. There is the hardware and a lot of games, i am very happy about and there is the system software, shop infrastructure, customer support and a lack of transparency and communication on the other side that makes it very hard to recommend. If it works, it is fine but if you run into any problems you are lost and on your own.
While Apples online community is pretty useless with its generic answers too, the actual support is miles ahead, and will even call you back just to ask if the problem was solved.
Meta is spending tons of money into VR what i appreciate, but to succeed on a large scale they have to realize that just putting a platform into the world works for IG and FB, but not for a hardware product people spending much more money on a regularly basis.

Same problem here, can't use discounts by referral codes anymore. I would not have a problem with it if the rules were communicated clearly and made transparent for everyone. But without - the whole referral code system stinks with Meta ruining their reputation. So now I also got a Pico and SteamVR as kind of backup (where some of my money might flow to instead.)

This is, in fact, not a solution.
