They’ve been spouting out this rubbish for months now about ‘groups’, however when you private message they say they are working to resolve this issue. If it was randomly selected why are they trying to fix it?? I’ve had my quest since April and have never been able to use App referrals so not sure they understand what ‘changes frequently’ means!

An Advocate is anyone that owns a Quest device as per your own conditions. It is borderline fraudulent yous claiming otherwise denying especially for those brand new device owners, providing they are over 18 years of age and own a Quest device, as per your Eligibility on this page
My own circumstances I do not own a brand new device, but you should consider stop copy/pasting a template message and look into the actual problem, or issue apologies and update the terms and conditions of the offer if you have changed the goalposts without informing people, misleading those considering buying headsets too that they will be eligible

It seems like they've changed their TOS for the referral program, unless I just missed some parts before. Maybe that means this torture is coming to an end?

Meta support.....do you have ANY clue at what you are doing? ok so now referrals are (kind of) working - however with the recent changes, ie people have to be following each other - but it also says now it is only 15% discount and £1 (guessing $1-2) of promo credit eart....ok fair enough.....BUT - click the terms and conditions of your own app, and it still says 25% and £4 credit will be earned......can you at least try and follow you know....the LAW(!). How hard can it be to have updated your T&Cs when making this change......also, there was zero communication of this change too, only stumbling across it on testing with my partners account

So we were shadow banned on the old system.. maybe too may people clicked our links.
I also noticed they forgot to update the terns and conditions..
Is there still a limit of 3 referrals per app total? Who knows without updated terms and conditions..

It wasn't because too many people clicked our links, because I have barely any referrals, and there were new people who were shadow banned from day 1.
I'm still annoyed that we were banned from the 25% while others were able to use it, and we're "released" now that it's a lower percentage. They should have at least sent us a 25% off coupon or something to let us buy a game of our choice at a discount.

Same issue. Friend trying to send me game referall links and they ALL come up invalid or no longer good. The app is terrible and buggy, and slow. All ways of trying to access link fails. Wont be buying any more meta products.

The referral scheme is near enough ruined by Meta with a poor discount (the having to be friends is fine though), that its not worth bothering with. For all but the newest titles may aswell just wait for a sale that generally offers the larger discount, and just will save bit of coinage myself as a result not buying as many on a whim

I'm glad to hear you're able to participate fully in the referral program again but I understand there's a lot of frustration surrounding recent changes.

Yeah, WE KNOW that already. I've been sent the same AUTOMATED response when I contacted support to ask why I can no longer redeem any app referrals. ...and it's been probably 6 MONTHS since I was "randomly selected" to not be able to use referral discounts. 6 MONTHS. "Randomly selected"? It's more like "DISCRIMINATION" by this point. When you give privileges to others, while not providing those same privileges to others...that's called discrimination. "PERIODICALLY"? FOR 6 MONTHS????!!!! How 'bout you "periodically" give me back my ability to redeem referral codes? Mmmkay?
