Remote Desktop just broke

After installing V66 Remote Desktop won't run.  It quits on startup.  I saw it installing an update last night just before intalling V66.

hi @VelekHacks

It's probably had a failed update and gotten stuck.

I would uninstall the app, restart the headset then re-install.

Should fix it 🙂 remote desktop has worked for me on v66 and v67

all the best

Quest 2, Quest 3, PCVR, Meta Wayfarer

Hi there, @VelekHacks! We know how much Remote Desktop adds to sharing the VR experience with friends and family, and we wanted to pop in to help! @J40NYR has some great suggestions with uninstalling/reinstalling the app and restarting the headset, so please let us know how those steps work out for you. We also recommend disabling any VPNs or antivirus that may be blocking you from the Meta servers. Keep us updated when you get a chance!

I was able to get back up and running after deleting and reinstalling the app on my Quest 3.

That's fortunate because I can't get the other options to work.

I did get Immersed working on my MacBook yesterday for a while, but I really prefer Remote Desktop because I can use the local browser side by side.

I would really prefer that they stay on my LAN like VNC would.

Hey there, @VelekHacks. Thank you for reaching back out and letting us know that everything worked out for you. We are really excited you are able to get back to working on your Quest 3, and we hope everything is fine. If you need help with anything else or just want to say hi, don't hesitate to reach out to us. You know where to find us. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
