Request for comment for the ovrLayerEyeMatrix.Matrix

In OculusWorldDemo, when enabled the Face2 Layer,  it will enable the Layer4, which type is ovrLayerType_EyeMatrix
the structure is ovrLayerEyeMatrix, it contains a member called Matrix which defined as follows
    /// Specifies the mapping from a view-space vector
    /// to a UV coordinate on the textures given above.
    /// P = (x,y,z,1)*Matrix
    /// TexU  = P.x/P.z
    /// TexV  = P.y/P.z
    ovrMatrix4f         Matrix[ovrEye_Count];

i dont exactly know what does matrix (x, y, z, 1) means, which is x, y and z,  

is there anyone knows which does view-space vector means, and x,y,z values?
