Resident Evil 4 code missing

Hi

Today I received my Quest 2 Resident Evil 4 Edition from Amazon and there is no redemption code in the box, the box says that the download code is inside and that it is valid until 31/12/2023.  I contacted Amazon about it and they said they can't do anything about it and to contact you.  Is there a way of sending me the code for Resident Evil 4

The RE4 code was only available to headsets sold until 31/12/22, although the code itself can be redeemed until 31/12/23. Since you purchsed after the cutoff date, I don't think you are entitled to the free copy.

When the item was bought should be irrelevant, the fact is the box states that it contains a code for a game and that code is missing/ absent from the box, as the item has been purchased incomplete then the missing item(s) should be replaced without cost to the buyer, this is the law as I understand it

Nevertheless, the terms of the offer stated the code was only available to headsets purchased until the end of December 2022. You have bought old stock (maybe "refurbished") and I expect someone took the code from the box before you got it. I suggest you return the kit to Amazon and hope a replacement has the code you want.

Hey there, @Bob131. We can definitely understand your concerns with the missing Resident Evil code from your box. If the headset was purchased after December of 2022, then @user_901925786032222 would be correct about it no longer being an available promotion and would cause your headset to be ineligible. Hopefully this information helps!

Looking at unboxing videos, it seems the box only lists the dec 2023 code expiry date in a clear way (on the top edge in the black RE4 region). If the 2022 purchase date requirement is on there, it must be fine print on the back maybe.

It seems strange that Amazon would open the boxes and remove the code (and there's no way for Meta to know when you bought it otherwise, so the 2023 date is the only one that really matters here). I'd guess it might be a returned product and the code was taken.

Even if the code doesn't work, the box still says it should be included.

Looking at the Amazon page for the Quest 2 Resident Evil Bundle, there's no mention of any expiry dates. Although a picture like the one above was posted in a review on the page by someone complaining the beat saber offer had expired.

So while those of us that have read the announcements know about the cutoff dates, the box and amazon don't make it clear.
