v62 has a big problem with USB port sensor (found the very same issue on my Q3 and the one of my wife)... when used with an extension cable (even if it is a quality cable) from time to time star showing the debris-water warning message. Of course there is no debris or water, just a nasty software false alarm.

thanks for sharing this! i posted an example of someone reporting the issue (OP!) with the original link cable but he decided that no, the guy reporting this was talking about the charging cable. Completely unencumbered by reality

You have to first click ok on the error message for it reset the USB c port and then power off not restart headset and it has worked for me this way.

PS. it was bought on amazon but amazon told me to go to Meta for refund / replacement (when i was trying to get it replaced expecting the replacement to have v60)
Does this mean you were outside of your returns window? (usually 30 days)

yes but amazon are usually amazing about these things. if meta takes much longer i'll talk to amazon again about a refund (they were open to they just told me that i should first try to do it with Meta) and get a bigscreen beyond or an old Varjo until the deckard comes along. i resent having my time wasted this way - this was all unnecessary and the way they've dealt with it is disrespectful

News! Bad news. While I have been able to use the Meta Quest 3 without the beloved message. This still appears randomly.
Over and out.

is that these people don't understand that the error started with a software update?, also it is not difficult to put the option to disable an alert and that one is responsible, come on I have a 1200 dollar product decorating the table?¡??¡😐

thanks for sharing, i'm sorry to hear this. this has also been my experience. i thought i reduced the frequency of the warning by changing from the USB 3.2 gen 2v2 to the gen 2, but it still appears randomly, if not at 1 hour mark, at the 30 minutes mark, and then at the 1 hour 20 minutes, just goes randomly.

Wow that's 3 weeks now with no solution. I returned my previous unit on the 2nd week of February. Now I'm concerned my new unit will arrive with v62 pre-installed, or auto-update to it.

Turn auto updates off in the app. When I exchanged mine after v62 ruined the first one, the replacement one from best buy came with v60. It downloaded a small update, but not v62.
you need WiFi to set it up, but then you can disable the WiFi and use pcvr only. If you leave it on WiFi with v60 and auto updates off, it will still try to push v62 soon. Mine said march 14, so I’m leaving it disconnected from the WiFi and just using it to sim race until they pull their heads out of their behind and start acting like an intelligent tech company.
