v62 has a big problem with USB port sensor (found the very same issue on my Q3 and the one of my wife)... when used with an extension cable (even if it is a quality cable) from time to time star showing the debris-water warning message. Of course there is no debris or water, just a nasty software false alarm.

Yesterday I received another 9 Gb update (still V64) and then I had a 2 hour session without any problems. I started the session with 96% charge and ended it with 100%. It is possible that the previous update was not complete... . I hope the problem is resolved.

Meta started pushing V64 officially in case you missed the news.
It’s strange that 64 is still PTC but official through the general update though they are still working on a fix for this issue.

Installed V64 three days ago. The error did not appear anymore. Playing Il2 4 to 6 h per day. No problems so far.
I'm happy now 🙂

Hi, Im having exactly this issue, all I need is to add the device in the Oculus app (not looking to play whilst connected), I have bought a second generic USB-C cable that is data and power, but this is not the £80 cable sold by Meta. Could all this be down to the cable not being good enough? If so, could you explain how that could be the case?
For the record, computer meets the specs, Ive downloaded and installed ADB drivers, all software is up to date. Air link wont work even though PC and headset are both connected to the same 5ghz internet connection.

Had v64 official release pushed to my Quest 3 today. I’m still using the powered USB port to tether the headset to my gaming PC. No issues, 2.5Gbps solid connection. I still think there’s a power issue with the Quest 3 - as in it’s drawing too much power for a non-powered USB port to handle. I brought this to Meta’s attention again. No reply. Meta Support is useless.

Got a better cable...am now upgraded to the 'Debris or water in the USB port' message. If I spend £80 on that stupid meta cable, will it fix it, or will it be another waste of money?
On a related note, its amazing to see the sheer volume of people having issues connecting (sometimes the connection issues appear after a few weeks or months).

there's nothing special in meta cable, name on cable doesnt change physics.... i have https://www.club-3d.com/en/quick-view/2507/ cable, capable of 60w (q3 is 18w), i now think the problem is my mobo that gives out 0.3A 5V (why, i don't know yet, should be 0.5-0.9)
q3 software expects more while charging and gives out error messages

I still have the "Debris/Water Warning" with every v64 update till now.
And before the Patch was out, wich implemented that problem, everything was going fine even with my "cheaper cable".
And for me it does not even matter, in which order i attach the Cable to my charging port. It worked before this broken Patch.
For me it was definetly the last time i buyed something from Meta... How can it be that such a Problem did not get fixed or even get's the highest priority of fixing. I could not use my Q3 since end of february now... because of this annoying "Warning" Popup...
Anyways i still hope there will be a fix coming out...
