Update March 25th: Meta Store support told me that the latest mobile app Version 259 was released with a fix to resolve the issues described in this thread. So, the resolution was given officially. Thank you Meta for the fix, and thanks everyone in this thread as your voices indicated how this issue was significant. 😄
----------
During setup of Oculus Go by Meta Quest for iOS Version 257.0.0.9.106, I could not play "Health and safety" video, although I pressed "Watch Video" button. As a result, I cannot complete setup my Oculus Go. How do I proceed with the next steps? I also tried the setup by Meta Quest for Android, but the symptom is all the same. Version 258.0.0.9.109 released on Marth 13th also show the same symptoms. Still the setup fails and the headset becomes useless.
I can click "Continue" button. But all the three links are inactive.
As the video never starts, I cannot complete the setup. My headset becomes a photoviewer of single image prompting me to grab smartphone.

Dr cyclops has this on his reply.
I did what he said and it worked for me.
SOLUTION (for Android devices). You need to downgrade to an earlier version of the Meta Quest app (version 245). You can download it here https://shorturl.at/fVY46 (I simplified the URL so it was easier to enter into my phone's browser). It will download to your phone, then use the File app on your phone to install it (I uninstalled the newer version first). Once installed, go to "Devices" and select your Go. Either redo the setup or take the "finish setup" option if offered. The video plays! The setup finishes! My Go is alive again! There seem to be some bits missing (my virtual environment is gone) but I'm able to access my old apps and start loading them again. I take no credit for this fix, I found it elsewhere and then simplified the steps a bit to make them more clear!

Hello everyone,
after the latest Meta Quest app update, I can no longer configure my Oculus Go.
When I reach the security video display, everything freezes.
Do you have a solution? Has this happened to any of you?
Thank you very much.

Did the factory reset three times, yet still cannot pass the "Health and Safety" video step, getting stuck every time. Combined the last two resets with deleting the Meta Quest app from my iPhone to force reload of the app, unfortunately keeps on getting stuck at the referred step. Please let me know of any other possible solution to this issue.

It is happening to others too, same with the Oculus Go. The solution provided in this did not work, issue remains unresolved.

Hey guys! I've been following this thread, and I wanted to let you know that I've brought this issue up with our engineering teams. I do want to let you know, though, that this may be related to the information in this article that we no longer provide bug fixes for the Go as of the end of 2022. Hopefully, the engineers will be able to get back to me with more information about this issue, and I'll let you know what they've said as soon as I hear from them.

So when will they suspend bug fixes for the Quest 2? (sarcasm alert)

Grabbed an old phone, installed the old Oculus app. Factory reset my Go. The old app allowed me to get past the Health and Safety video show-stopper and complete setup enough to toggle Dev mode on. From there I was able to cable up to my dev rig, sideload the unlocked image seen HERE use adb to install and unlock my Go effectively kicking Meta the hell off my hardware. Which is great because the Go is my 'lay in bed and watch TV till I fall asleep' headset and none of the 20+ other headsets I've managed to accumulate over the years even come close to it in terms of comfort in bed.

FINALLY THE PROBLEM SOLVE..😇
Hey @VR.TOUR.360 & @amerbs,
I've had the same problem before with my oculus go, I couldn't continue the video and can't finish the setup...u know what I did?
I tried with oculus app version 241.1.0.5.119. That mean last year's version worked, and I can play video and finished set-up. Good luck everyone .😊😇😇

ShiroTenko this is NOT solved. This is a work around for android only. If you post the same version of the app onto the ios appstore as a legacy download then the problem is solved but it currently is NOT.

Hello @DrZiltoid, since marking a post as a solution is the only way to bring certain replies to the top of the thread, that's what I did here for optimis. I fully understand it's not the solution, but I wanted more users to be aware of the workaround while we try to have this matter looked into.
