Is anyone working on the Quest 3 elite battery issue? It charges but won’t connect to the headset for more than a few seconds, meaning you cannot charge through the back port.

Has anyone had the quest 3 headset go to no command (and see the little
Robot dude with his tummy open) and the headset get warm? This has happened last three occasions I have left the elite strap with battery and headset on charge. Everything else seems to work fine

yikes! That would be android bootloader/recovery mode. It went into that on its own?

yes has done it 3 times now but front of unit gets hot, after resetting it’s all fine. Not sure if it’s just leaving it on charge it doesn’t like. Although never was an issue with the quest 2 with elite strap and battery. Will see how many more times it does it or if it’s every time I leave it on charge and it’s gets fully charged 🤷:male_sign:

I'm still having this issue and have emailed support probably 5 times over the course of a month now trying to get an update after sending my shipping information. Absolute silence on their end. It's frustrating and I think Meta has absolutely botched the response to this very widespread issue.
Ticket number is 06050440 if support sees this. Please help!

This is actually the second strap I have had, first had the same issue where it didn’t recognise it. Dug my heels in said I want a replacement and they sent one without having to sent the faulty one back which was good. This one works but the funny issue with it keep putting it in boot mode if I leave it on charge is a bit weird just wanted to see if anyone else had the same

I followed the link, but there is no option to report an issue with the Quest 3 Elite Strap with Battery, only the charging dock. I'd love to follow your suggestion, but how do I do that without the option to click on?
My Elite battery worked for the first week, and now it doesn't register, and doesn't charge the headset when charging both. When using the dock, my headset WILL charge the Elite battery along with the headset, but now that it doesn't recognize it, it doesn't matter. Probably going to try a warranty claim, unless a firmware update is imminent...

I found using the live chat the best as gave all details there complained a bit (would not send my faulty one back) and they sent/started a return right then and there dealing with it through email was a pain. I just started it under charging dock or headset issue and went down there. You will find dealing with live chat way easier than email in my opinion. I have had a replacement headset for the quest 2 a fault elite headset for quest 2 all sent u see warrantee but always dealt with through live chat

Unfortunately I will have to add myself to this topic. I was hoping I got a good one, but nope. Lasted one charge and started the disconnecting in a few seconds behavior. I just returned it. I would still like to have this strap but will wait until Meta fixes this. What I don't understand is that they happily keep selling them and causing their customers having a bad experience and having to go through the trouble to return it.
The company I work at also produces electronic products and when we have an issue in the field with new products we hold all inventory until we know what's going on.
