Resolved - Quest Airlink lags and stutters after V54 update.

v1rtualv0id

Been using Quest pro with airlink for 4 months now without any issues whatsoever.

After the headset was updated to V54 I'm having headset lag/connection issues on airlink.

Screen is stuttery at times when moving in my playspace or moving my head, the image gets laggy, choppy and black frames appear on the side of the screen oposite to where I'm moving my head.

Image quality has degraded significantly with lots of "artifacts".

This makes casual games like VR chat hard to play due to constant lag and stutter, games like Beat Saber are impossible to play.

I havent changed a single thing in my playspace nor my setup, router config is the same as when it was working, PC is the same, no update has been applied to any of this.

Any advice would be much appreciated as Im lost on what to do.

Just in case

Specs

CPU I9 12900k

32GB Ram

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080TI

Router: TP-link AX1500 Wifi 6 dedicated just to the headset.

Thank you for attempting the troubleshooting procedure. We realize this is becoming a tedious situation, but don't worry, we still have a few tricks up our sleeves. In addition to the steps above, we may be able to resolve the issue by disabling the USB Selective Suspend Setting.

  1. Right click the Windows start menu, and select Power Options
  2. Click Additional Power Settings
  3. Click Change plan settings
  4. Click Change Advanced Power Settings
  5. Locate the USB Settings and make sure that Selective Suspend Setting is set to Disable

Let us know if this works.

How you go back to v53 ?

When I saw v54 was released as "stable" but still had the lag, I disabled updates. I'm going to sit at v53 which is working for me, until this is resolved.

Same problem here, hoping for a fix asap.

With cable seems working fine. The problem is Airlink.

Ok, I have Factory Reset my Quest Pro, reinstall complete my Win 11 PC (RTX3070,64GB Ram i7 10700) I cant get any connection via Airlink or Cable. That works good before Update 54 ... SO i still think the fastest and best way to help all the People who got the same Issues "Rollback the Update" !!! Just rename V53 to V55 🙂

totally agree. The problem is that We can't downgrade the firmware
