Been using Quest pro with airlink for 4 months now without any issues whatsoever.
After the headset was updated to V54 I'm having headset lag/connection issues on airlink.
Screen is stuttery at times when moving in my playspace or moving my head, the image gets laggy, choppy and black frames appear on the side of the screen oposite to where I'm moving my head.
Image quality has degraded significantly with lots of "artifacts".
This makes casual games like VR chat hard to play due to constant lag and stutter, games like Beat Saber are impossible to play.
I havent changed a single thing in my playspace nor my setup, router config is the same as when it was working, PC is the same, no update has been applied to any of this.
Any advice would be much appreciated as Im lost on what to do.
Just in case
Specs
CPU I9 12900k
32GB Ram
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080TI
Router: TP-link AX1500 Wifi 6 dedicated just to the headset.

Hopefully we get a fix soon because this update v54 (public release) completely broke PCVR. Factory reset fixes the issue until you restart your headset. The unreliability of these updates really shakes my confidence in a Quest 3 purchase if software and firmware like this is released as "stable" to the public. Very disappointed.

This is a rather egregious bug to ship in a public release that breaks core functionality for a lot of users. Can we please have an estimate on when a fix will be made available?

Thanks for the information. We are going to factory reset it and see how it goes.
Appreciate your time.

Unfortunately I already had that disabled, I re-enabled and then disabled again though just to see if it would make any difference (restarting my pc each time), but it's still having the same issue when loading it up where it gets to the three dots then after 10ish seconds just gives out.

I can verify that after a factory reset of the Quest2 device, functionality is working as it should, no lag, no issues using Virtual Desktop and the Quest2. Just don't update it to latest firmware / software!

If you're headset is still on v54 after a factory reset, the issue will return after a headset restart. I'd encourage you instead to opt into the PTC using the phone app to get pushed v55 where the lag/stutter over PCVR issue seems to be resolved.

Sure enough, it returned after a headset restart. What is the PTC using the phone app? How do you get v55 pushed?

Yeah, what he said......how can you release something that has an issue as bad as this and not be releasing a patch of a fix sooner....that's why facebook / meta is losing money so fast. The kids have left FB, its a dying breed and the people that stay for your VR you don't give priority help to.
