Been using Quest pro with airlink for 4 months now without any issues whatsoever.
After the headset was updated to V54 I'm having headset lag/connection issues on airlink.
Screen is stuttery at times when moving in my playspace or moving my head, the image gets laggy, choppy and black frames appear on the side of the screen oposite to where I'm moving my head.
Image quality has degraded significantly with lots of "artifacts".
This makes casual games like VR chat hard to play due to constant lag and stutter, games like Beat Saber are impossible to play.
I havent changed a single thing in my playspace nor my setup, router config is the same as when it was working, PC is the same, no update has been applied to any of this.
Any advice would be much appreciated as Im lost on what to do.
Just in case
Specs
CPU I9 12900k
32GB Ram
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080TI
Router: TP-link AX1500 Wifi 6 dedicated just to the headset.

Try the fix I posted on the page before with the guardian and double tap passthrough (page 12). If those lag spikes really just appear when you move or look around then that should help. If the lag spikes are random then it might be your internet.

I tired that - it doesn't help. And it's definitely not an internet issue. I tried with Wi-Fi 6 from D-Link AirBridge (which is a bugged piece of crap itselt), Wi-Fi 5 from router and Wi-Fi 5 from my laprop mobile hotspot. I was standing next to the laptop and still got lags and stutters when trying to move, so it's not an internet issue, it's the firmware.
But what's strange - I was in PTC previously and got a couple of PTC v54 updates, lags were there but they didn't occur as often, I was able to play with Air Link, experiencing some lags maybe every 10-15 minutes. Then I got the PTC v55 and there was no difference in terms of Air Link, but I left the PTC due to Pro controllers tracking precision issues in v55 and rolled back to the public release of v54 - and then all these enormous lags appeared and now the AirLink is litterally unusable. So there were some v54 releases in PTC which were not affected by this problem (or I was lucky not to have it) but public release has it.

Hey @Space_tomb, we want to make certain that you get the help you need. We know how PCVR issues can sometimes be a pain, Not to worry, we are going to be here to take care of you. If you haven't already done so; there may be some troubleshooting steps you may have to try to get you back up and running. If you can, try restarting your computer and checking for updates to your drivers and firewalls. As these may cause interference with the headset.

I have just subscribed to PTC, both on the desktop and mobile Oculus app. The latter was updated to v55 after a few seconds. Restarted the Questo Pro, and I can confirm that the lag is still there. The issue is not fixed. I use this for work and right now I can't work with it. Please fix this now, Meta.

OK I hadn't done this part. It's in process. Will report back as soon as the update on the headset is done.

Yes, unfortunatly after getting V55 and one day happiness, everything is stuttering again, so i think they know it we have to stay calm …

So, regarding my Guardian + Passthrough fixed, I just noticed something important. You have to double tap to get into passthrough mode and INSTANTLY double tap again to get out of it, even before you get the notification ""Meta Quest" Double tap the side of your headset....", otherwise it doesnt work. So you gotta be quick for this fix to work

hello, so i have had my oculus quest 2 for 4 months, and ive been playing games via pc using air link. recently(yesterday and today) when i go onto air link and attempt to play. i get massive lag spikes for approx 5 seconds. Now the part that concerns me is that i have tried turning the Bitrate down to 10mbps, and yet still it lags. i open oculus debug tool, and sort out the dynamic bitrate and encode bitrate to all 0. i have also restarted both the quest and the pc and yet it still lags...
is there any solutions, if so please let me know, its getting irritating.
