Been using Quest pro with airlink for 4 months now without any issues whatsoever.
After the headset was updated to V54 I'm having headset lag/connection issues on airlink.
Screen is stuttery at times when moving in my playspace or moving my head, the image gets laggy, choppy and black frames appear on the side of the screen oposite to where I'm moving my head.
Image quality has degraded significantly with lots of "artifacts".
This makes casual games like VR chat hard to play due to constant lag and stutter, games like Beat Saber are impossible to play.
I havent changed a single thing in my playspace nor my setup, router config is the same as when it was working, PC is the same, no update has been applied to any of this.
Any advice would be much appreciated as Im lost on what to do.
Just in case
Specs
CPU I9 12900k
32GB Ram
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080TI
Router: TP-link AX1500 Wifi 6 dedicated just to the headset.

Hello
I have a weird problem with my Quest 2. I recently upgraded my modem/router combo so now I am able to use Airlink. It works great except that at some point, seemingly random, the image freezes for a second or two and after it's like the images through the separate lenses don't align anymore when I move around. Kinda like what you would see in a game if a player character is drunk. I don't know how else to describe it haha. The framerate is fine, it's not stuttering. When I'm standing still also the image is fine. It's not the case when I'm using my Quest 2 normally and I also don't think it happens when I use the Link cable. in ODT I have enabled Distortion Curvature on Low, resolution width 3664, link sharpening enabled and ASW disabled. The rest is default I think. I have Windows 11 and my gpu and quest drivers are up to date. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thank you.

If it only affects wireless connections there's a decent chance it's down to the widely publicised v54 firmware bugs. I believe v55 is out now although releases tend to go out over a period of a few weeks. Maybe you could accelerate it by joining the PTC.

EDIT: after a quick restart on my PC's end it seems like V55 is working

Looks like I got the V55 update today and Airlink is finally smooth again.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing all your feedback and for your patience! The engineering team has been hard at work tracking down issues causing lag and stuttering with Air Link. There's a fix rolling out to systems on v54 and v55 now which should make some major improvements for anyone running into the issues they've been working on. This fix will also help even out performance on certain apps and games that are sensitive to changes in network latency outside of Air Link too. If you've been having trouble with Air Link stuttering or lag, please reboot your headset to make sure that update hits and installs, it may not show up as an update, and may not visibly change your build number if you're on v54.
Meta Quest v55 software is currently in PTC and just starting to roll out to people outside of the PTC. The fix is in build 5004863.3140.330 for PTC.

Hey there! This is actually already resolved! Please go ahead and to a reboot on the headset and I will be moving this post to our Mega Thread with the post that was made regarding this issue.

I'm having some issues with air link that I was hoping to get advice on. Previously air link ran butter smooth but since around the time of the v55 update it has been running like an absolute potato. I'm running with decent hardware. I have a i7-10700kf, 64 gig ram, a 3090 (24gig vram) and am using a asus ax55u on a AT&T gig fiber connection. I just purchased this router to try and fix the problem but it didn't make a difference. I'm experiencing tons of frame drops, stuttering and terrible aliasing. It's so bad at times that I cant tell where I am or what's happening in game. My gpu is showing max only 50%ram being used and 70% processor but generally staying way lower. my cpu is maxing at about 80% but also generally sitting way lower. all temperatures are very good. it happens even in the oculus dashboard. I was originally running at 120hz but i have since dropped to 60 but it didn't help. That said it worked great at 120 before so there is no reason with no changes to my system that I should be stepping down things like that. from what I can tell online a lot of people are having similar issues recently but have just kind of been met with radio silence from Meta. it has me a little worried about the direction they are going in terms of their support for pc vr. Anyway that's beside the point. any help with this would be appreciated. I will list below all the things that I have tried.
I'm testing using the the dashboard for low stress and the forest for high stress since it used to run beautifully so its a good base for comparison. that said I have tried other games and other settings in the forest and the issue does not go away.
I have tried all refresh rates available
I have tried various bit rates set to dynamic and static
I toggled on my console window visibility (supposed to fix an issue with windows 11s management of background processes)
Tried Default, H.264 and H.265 video codecs
Tried all link sharpening settings
Tried using two different dedicated wireless routers in the room next to me with zero obstructions.
Tried optimizing various settings on my network adapters
Tested for issues with my pcs ram and vram with zero issues
Switched internet service providers ( I know an unlikely problem but I play a lot of online games and I'm desperate)
Set the priority of the oculus server to high
reinstalled my vid drivers
Reinstalled oculus software
Probably more stuff that i can't remember right now. Any help would be great. Thanks
EDIT:: Credit where credit is due Meta posted about this exact issue about thirty minutes after I posted this and had posted about it before i just hadn't seen it. granted they said that v55 should fix it witch was not the case for me, but at least I know they haven't abandoned the pc vr people. any hope still appreciated.
