Been using Quest pro with airlink for 4 months now without any issues whatsoever.
After the headset was updated to V54 I'm having headset lag/connection issues on airlink.
Screen is stuttery at times when moving in my playspace or moving my head, the image gets laggy, choppy and black frames appear on the side of the screen oposite to where I'm moving my head.
Image quality has degraded significantly with lots of "artifacts".
This makes casual games like VR chat hard to play due to constant lag and stutter, games like Beat Saber are impossible to play.
I havent changed a single thing in my playspace nor my setup, router config is the same as when it was working, PC is the same, no update has been applied to any of this.
Any advice would be much appreciated as Im lost on what to do.
Just in case
Specs
CPU I9 12900k
32GB Ram
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080TI
Router: TP-link AX1500 Wifi 6 dedicated just to the headset.

A lot of us have the NEW v55 PTC... that rolled out Wednesday... But the bug is STILL there. for multiple people. the exact same bug. the exact same symptoms. it is not a hardware problem, its the update that scuffed everything up.
how can we, in good faith, at this point, believe that even the public v55 will fix anything if we have just been disappointed over and over and over?
No initiative has been taken by meta. you guys just kept going on as if it was sunshine and rainbows, just a normal, beautiful cartoon day with no rush to fix anything, totally ignoring us and the urgency of the situation. it's been over a month!
The FIRST step is to STOP telling us that a rollback is not possible and MAKE it possible. That would be "taking the initiative" and the first steps in recovering some of your reputation.

Are you actually reading anything in the thread. Could you be more flippant and patronising ?

I updated by experimental to Version 55 buuuuuuuuuuuut it still doesnt work, the link is not working and that freeze all the system. There is any problem if I send back to amazon? It happens with 2 my glasses, 1 of them was not updated from 43 and works perfectly

I was optimizing my quest settings today and stumbled across this issue. It happens when my bitrate is high, like over 160. If I go 400 (which the Windows task manager says I'm actually at 230), the issue quickly happens. Going down to 100 eventually fixes it. I used the oculus debug tool to tweak this. Other settings didn't really matter, only bitrate.
Current OK settings https://imgur.com/a/jFPct0s . (90fps max resolution. dedicated wifi6 router and Rx6800XT).
Version 54.0.0.155.344.482042629 .
Runtime version 54.0.0.155..348.482042417.
I noticed I just got an update, so I will test it out: 50542050054700150
---
I tried
Version 55.0.0.130.713.489719828
Runtime version 55.0.0.130.713.489719834
And it still goes black on the sides and sluggish at 400Mbps bitrate, but it might be less broken than 54.
54 felt like it would get worse and worse the longer I let it go, while 55 stayed at a somewhat fixed delay and sluggishness.
Anyways, lowering bitrate still removes the problem.

I just got the v55. May actually be worse now. I agree with others here. I think there needs to be some competition. Going from an excellently working system, to a laggy and buggy system is nuts. Well, I guess we can hope that they bless us with v56 soon.

@MetaQuestSupport
We SHOULD be able to rollback is exactly what we are saying. Either with a download you put on a flash stick, file we copy over or ideally a proper interface for selecting your desired version (INCLUDING THE ONE BEING Rolled Out, or whatever you wanna call your testing on prod routing).
The updates are F'd (read the threads and see how many people are sying neither in our out of PTC is still broken). Your "thank you for bringing this to our attention" routine is a slap in the face and I bet you lost at least half of the people on this thread as future customers. Quest 3? Fark that. I will make sure to tell EVERYONE that asks me about VR to stay far the hell away from this amateur show called Meta.
Should never have bought over Oculus, but at least you changed it's name to Meta to make it clear who we are getting buggered by

Hey Ryan,
I'm on v55 now but the bugs still persist. It works fine for probably a couple of seconds but that's it.
Can you give us some sort of an ETA on when you expect these issues to be sorted? We run a business here and this is just not acceptable. Either give us a fix or give us the ability to rollback drivers.

Hey @PanDamien, I just wanted to chime in on this. Please know that the support team is trying their best. As support, we aren't able to change how our software and updates work, but we try our best to help and troubleshoot when something isn't working how it should be. Currently, updates are not able to be rolled back, so we have to do our best to work with what we have.
I see our support team is inviting those still having this issue to send a private message, and that is probably to get these users moved over to our email support to investigate this further, since our engineers have let us know that a fix for this specific issue was rolled out already. In order for support to help you get this working right, I would highly recommend either sending a private message to @MetaQuestSupport, or if you'd rather you can open your own email support ticket.
Did this answer your question? If it didn’t, use our search to find other topics or create your own and other members of the community will help out.
