I am sick of this happening every time the devs roll out a new update.
Oculus app updated this evening, Quest Pro headset will no longer be detected via cable connection, only wireless.
Doesn't matter if I'm opted into PTR, or opt out and uninstall the new drivers that came along with this.
If anyone manages to get themselves out of this situation lemme know how ya did it!

NVIDIA drivers are up to date. I don't understand how one of the most vital functions of the Quest platform gets broken with an update. Doesn't make any sense. As someone who uses their Quest 2 exclusively for PCVR, it's unacceptable.

Having the same issue . Updated to v57 PTC yesterday. Worked fine after that . But then I hopped on just now , noticed my headset said no connected again, check the oculus app, still on v57 , it asked to update to new drivers.. did that , restarted , no luck with that... tired of these updates since all I do is use steamVR for racing . Guess I'll wait for tomorrow to see what's instore .

How about stop forcing updates, even when the **bleep**ing headset is turned off, that break stuff? Have you thought about doing your jobs with a touch of competence?

Yeah, isn't it great that when you finally got some time off for racing, the sad **bleep**ing cunts at Meta decided to brick your headset. Air link is also unusable. But can you stay on the last known working version, or at least revert the forced updates? Oh no, we can't have such outlandishness here!

Same issue, cable link stopped working after update. Honestly, I've been hitting the "snooze" update button for MONTHS. I finally thought... okay, fine, maybe I should update. WOW, what a mistake.
Updating to the PTR did not fix it. Updated graphics drivers did not fix it. I'm going to try and find a pirated old version of the oculus client. If anyone has an leads, please let me know!

v57 is out now (but may take a while until everyone has access, Meta does rolling releases across regions), so hopefully you won't need to go to the PTC.

After installing oculus desktop update v56.1 and the drivers that were also updated, quest link for me now no longer connects to my PC nor does oculus even detects it. is anybody else seeing this issue? (Yeah, Yeah, I've switched to the public test channel, did the power management whatevers with every usb driver, switched to gaming mode, repaired and redownloaded oculus desktop, ect, ect, ect,)

I've just had another forced update (😞) to 57.0.0.238.153. This version now denies me connectivity via Cable Link (the HMD just searches for a linked computer but never finds one).
I've tried PTC on and off, neither work. I have cycled both headset and computer, neither work. The issue is not with my USB cable nor is it with my USB port.
This is almost the same as the update a few days ago but that was solved by turning PTC on.

Additional info:
The headset is running the latest firmware
The cable worked fine last night (and has done for many hours) before the forced updated
Turning on airlink recognises the PC, but my use case will not support airlink.

Having the same issue as above nothing I try seems to work.
