[Resolved] - Quest Link cable connection to PCVR doesn't work after v57 update

I am sick of this happening every time the devs roll out a new update.

Oculus app updated this evening, Quest Pro headset will no longer be detected via cable connection, only wireless.

Doesn't matter if I'm opted into PTR, or opt out and uninstall the new drivers that came along with this.

If anyone manages to get themselves out of this situation lemme know how ya did it!

I am having the same issue.

Tried all the above steps to no avail.
It would be nice to have the option to roll back 1 version or 2 for when stuuf like this happens.

Hope this get fixed soon 🙂

Ever since the update I haven’t been able to get into oculus link with my cable I’ve already tried various things such as repairing the app and checking my my drivers but nothing seems to fix it I believe it may just be the update that caused this issue

Hey there @negativghostrdr! We know cable link issues can be a bit tedious, but we're here to help you get to the bottom of this! Often times we've seen if Air Link is enabled it will interfere with any devices the cable link may try to detect. Can you make sure that Air Link is turned off through the headset settings and the PC app settings?

If that doesn't resolve the issue, we can try to do a repair to the PC app:

  • Go to www.oculus.com/setup scroll down to Quest 2 and click Download software.
  • Select Repair.
    • If Windows asks you if you’re sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
    • If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info and then click Run anyway.
    • If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    • Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you've completed the repair.
  • Allow the repair process to run, download and install.
  • Launch the Oculus PC app.

Let us know if that does the trick!

Thanks oculus for breaking the only thing I use the quest 2 for! man it sure does feel great for not being able to play THE 100$ DOLLARS I SPENT VR GAMES ON AND PLUS THE EXTRA 400$ FOR A HEADSET THAT KEEPS GETTING BRICKED BY UPDATES! Honestly its so awesome thanks guys!Rage Face.jpg

I've tried the V57 by enabling the PTC but I still have a VERY BROKEN LINK connection still.

I have never had a problem before now with LINK to PC...  😞

Hey everyone! I've gotten a slight update from the engineering team. While they look into things, they did want me to ask.

What PC app version are you currently running? This can be found by clicking on Settings and in the general tab, you can scroll down to find the pc App Version.

Sometimes it's okay to be a little Bing Chilling

Sadly, the solution with enabling PTC does not work anymore.🙁

Official v57 is out and with that update link broke again.

We are all waiting for a fix from Meta.

I'm on this one:
