[Resolved] - Quest Link cable connection to PCVR doesn't work after v57 update

I am sick of this happening every time the devs roll out a new update.

Oculus app updated this evening, Quest Pro headset will no longer be detected via cable connection, only wireless.

Doesn't matter if I'm opted into PTR, or opt out and uninstall the new drivers that came along with this.

If anyone manages to get themselves out of this situation lemme know how ya did it!

I don't want go through this Developer mode solution ......so, I will wait a bit until Meta will come out with a fix for that.

Go right ahead, but if there's a slightest hint of a solution, I want it. As it is, I'm not very impressed with the Oculus PCVR team, change control and lack of QA.

super frustrating!

i dont want to do the developer mode "solution" - just want the link to work and Meta to do a better work

To fix Quest Link not connecting to PC after Oculus Driver update:

Put on meta quest 1 headset > go to settings > click developer > Turn on "USB Connection Dialog" > unplug and replug headset into the PC > Press "Allow" when asked to allow access to files > the result is being able to connect to PC via quest link again.

I just tried the developer mode option and it doesn’t work for me. I cannot move through the headset settings on my smart phone as the headset oculus quest 2 is not being recognized by the smart phone.

Still doesn't work for me.

I had this issue as well, as the quest didn't want to properly connect to the internet and connect and load content within itself. I had to factory reset the headset and then pair up to the app during the setup process.

Tartersauce, you are a genius. Your fix worked like a charm. Can I know I have the five hours that I’ve spent trying to find a fix for the spec?

Thanks again for this simple and effective fix.

I suggest you use this video to sign up as a developer and then implement this fix from tartarsauce:

[Edit 9/13] - This developer setup video is not an official Meta video, but someone has provided it within the thread for the meantime as a possible workaround. Let me know if this helps or not and I'll pass it to our team.
