[Resolved] - Quest Link cable connection to PCVR doesn't work after v57 update

I am sick of this happening every time the devs roll out a new update.

Oculus app updated this evening, Quest Pro headset will no longer be detected via cable connection, only wireless.

Doesn't matter if I'm opted into PTR, or opt out and uninstall the new drivers that came along with this.

If anyone manages to get themselves out of this situation lemme know how ya did it!

If you’re actually having issue you should contact meta support, not simply rant about it imho.

This forum seems to be way overpopulated by new Guest posters posting rants like these.  Seems a bit trollish, to me anyway, lol!

Exactly the same situation. Two days ago was broken, enabled PTC fixed the problem, today is broken again. PTC or not - it's not detecting Quest 2 via cable. 

Oculus must fix this immediately!

Meta broke this with their Update they need to fix the PC Link or it the Quest2 is Completely useless to me.

maybe if the multi-billion dollar company fixed their garbage program that many people need in order to connect their headsets to their computers then we wouldn't complain. if so many people need support to resolve the issue then i think it's time they actually fix it on their end

Same here.  I'm so sick of this.  My quest 2 doesnt even get recognised in the app via the link cable anymore .  My PC picks it up when I plug in USB Link but not the oculus app.  I'm even getting a message my PC doesnt meet the minimum recommended specs, when I know my PC can eat VR for breakfast 10 times over.  Absolute garbage support for PCVR.  My Rift S works flawlessly, but I updated to quest 2 for a reason.  If meta doesnt start to support PCVR better I'm not bothering with a quest 3.and will invest in a different headset that I can use through steam VR.   How they can push out these updates not knowing it basically kills Quest 2 link for a lot of people is beyond belief.  My quest 2 is basically a paperweight until META bother to push an update.

What do you mean "in notification it shows v56"?

In my notification on pc app it says "no info available fotr this update"

Oh, and there is something else. The headset is still on v56....only pc app is updatet to v57.

No idea if that is important.

We need to decide whether or not Oculus software is updated, and give us the option to roll-back and update. This is ridiculous. The only thing I use my Quest 2 for is PC-Link and now Meta has broken it, in hopes i'll buy some of their crappy games on VR. The AirLink is total crap and completely laggy. Its certainly not conducive to my needs. I paid good money for this Meta, I expect it to be fixed ASAP.
