I am sick of this happening every time the devs roll out a new update.
Oculus app updated this evening, Quest Pro headset will no longer be detected via cable connection, only wireless.
Doesn't matter if I'm opted into PTR, or opt out and uninstall the new drivers that came along with this.
If anyone manages to get themselves out of this situation lemme know how ya did it!
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi,
Same problem here, no wired connection since the update.
Oculus Link version : 57.0.0.238.153
Quest 2 version : 56.0.0.171.656.505989878 ( and no updates available )
Windows 11 "up to date", nVidia 4080 16gb with driver 537.13, Intel i7 11700kf
and "fiber-optical" Kiwi design link cable ( 5m ).

As I also posted in your other ranting thread;
OK, while I also normally use Air Link I switched of to my usb3 Link cable (Kuject powered Link cable I bought from Amazon +1.5 years ago for my Q2) and all worked very well with both my Q2 and QPro at 650mbps bitrate. I tried a number of Rift and Steam games and these all worked great. Also tried the flight sim msfs and this also worked great. I actually forgot how distant objects look quite a bit better with Link.
I am on PTC V57 on both headsets (version # 57.0.0.236.669) and on the oculus desktop app public beta (version # 57.0.0.238.153). Maybe check both those version numbers and see if they are the same as your final V57. You may want to opt into the oculus desktop app public beta and give that a go (settings/beta tab). BTW, I've been on the PTC's on both headsets and the oculus desktop app since V51 and haven't had any problems.
While I can't say for sure if non-beta versions work or not, I'd be kinda surprised if they didn't. Maybe someone with v57 final issues tries just opting into the oculus desktop app public beta they can report if this fixes things with Link or not. If not, then they should file a bug report and also lodge a support ticket including their log files so Meta support can identify and fix this. Simply ranting about it without suppling details isn't very useful imho.

Sorry mate, not a known issue for me right now. I posted this in another thread. Don't know if it will help you or not;

PTC had fixed it for a few days but as of today its not working again. It is truly heartbreaking but I have to sell my oculus over this repeated nonsense. I simply do not have enough free time to trouble shoot every update. Hopefully the valve index wont come with homework in the form of going on forums every 2 days.

@honeylettuce I hope you have better luck with your new Valve Index mate.

The word on the street (Reddit) is that toggling the USB Connection Dialog switch in the developer menu fixes the cable ink issue. You'll need a developer account for that though, because Meta stick religiously to some crazy ideas.

The forum was runned over with posts of not working cable link the past few days after pc app update to v56.1.
With enabling PTC and updating to v57 we could make it work again.
The fun thing - actually it's not that fun - a few days later, after update to the official version of v57, cable link is broken again.
