Restore game data not working

I recently bought a few new games but couldn't install them because of lack of space. I temporarily uninstalled Resident Evil to make space expecting to be able to reinstall it and use the cloud backup to keep my game progress. I managed to fit on all the apps I need but RE4 hasn't downloaded the cloud save. My oculus account shows a 26MB save file but it isn't downloading automatically to my headset. Am I right in thinking it should have pulled it down as soon as I reinstalled RE? I was quite a way into the game and don't relish the thought of having to start over.

Hey robot.butler! We see that you are having issues with trying to access your game progress. No worries, we will make sure to get you pointed in the right direction. If you could help us by providing the following:

 

  • Uninstall and reinstall app. ( We understand you may have done this which is when everything started but sometimes it helps in matters such as these.)
  • Check to make sure you still have enough available space on your device for what the game has left to download. 
  • Let us know if you have tried any other troubleshooting steps.

Just follow the prompts as best as you can as they pertain to your issue and you will be connected with one of our specialists who will be able to assist you further. Then provide them with the information that was requested on here.
