Hello, I have just started playing with my Oculus Quest 1 headset after leaving it in the closet for a couple of years. It would not connect to anything, and said I had to restore it to factory defaults.
I did that with a new account, and now it works fine, except my old games are gone. But my children and I really want to play Beat Saber, so I tried purchasing the game again, but the VR shop would not allow it. I have read that support for the OC1 in Beat Saber will stop in november, but we just want to play single player anyway, so I would like to buy/install it anyway.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Balistarius 🙂
you're right, support ends in November.
People who already have the game on their account can still play it... no multiplayer or new content of course
But as you've already noticed, it's no longer possible to buy it for Quest 1.
The only options I can see for playing the game are either:
Connect the Quest 1 to a PC - that's good enough to play in VR - and buy the PC version of Beat Saber
or
buy a Quest 3 or a Quest 3S plus the game.
Edit: One more option is buying a used Quest 2.

If you can borrow a quest2 or 3 you can login to your account there, buy beatsaber and then it should appear in your quest1

I have a Quest 2 and also a Quest 3 😉
I think you reply is meant to @Balistarius
I'm not sure if your workaround will work...... if the game is no longer installed on the Quest 1 - because of a factory reset - he maybe won't be able to install it again.
He can't install the latest game version, because it's not supported.
