I know that most of the posts about the Rift CV1 are about HDMI and USB errors, Ive tried many things so far. I just bought my rift and coming into this I knew it would be rare if it worked out of the box but it didn't. When I plug everything in it refuses to recognize the HDMI and USB, it will recognize for a split second before resetting and continuing this in a loop till my PC gets a port reset error in device manager, and if I use USB C it will say USB 3.0 connection recommended but still won't work in setup. The base stations still connect and work though. I did recognize that it comes up as HID compliant device with an error symbol on it before disconnecting too.
I've tried every USB port on my PC, 3.1 3.0 and 2.0, I've tried a powered USB Hub and still it won't recognize, but the orange light does blink on the headset. I've tried two different wires, I've restarted my PC, quest link, and reinstalled the questlink app. I've reinstalled my USB drivers, checked the port on the Rift CV1. I've also tried multiple HDMI ports too. It didnt work on my friend's laptop either, he has a Acer Predator Helios 300, specs are: Core i7 9750H and a GTX 1660 Ti, I've tried everything except reinstalling windows. I really don't want to do that yet.
My PC specs are an Asus Rog Maximus XI Hero (WI-FI), RTX 3060 12G, Core i7 9700K, Windows 10 Pro, and I have a 650Watt PSU.
Please help me

I ended up solving my own problem, the rift itself was actually broken and just needed a replacement, I did that and have no issues now
